Milestones: Pride

• 1995, June 28 (Wednesday)
  On 1995, June 28 (Wednesday) Waterloo Region had its first local Pride Celebration in the Rotunda of Kitchener City Hall. This was the work of a couple of enterprising individuals.
• 1996, April 18
  On April 18, 1996, the Regional Pride Committee (RPC) was formed to continue holding annual Pride Celebrations which would cover not only Kitchener-Waterloo, but Cambridge and Guelph as well. The second local celebration occurred on 1996, June 27 (Thursday), again in the Rotunda of Kitchener City Hall.
• 2003, June 14 (Saturday)
  On 2003, June 14 (Saturday), Guelph Queer Equality and tri-Pride sponsored a Guelph Pride Picnic in Royal City Park in Guelph. By 2005, Guelph was hosting its own Pride celebrations.
